Labor Support
Labor and parenthood can be scary and can leave many parents with questions and concerns. Hiring a birth doula to be a part of your support team can be one of the most beneficial decisions you make. To help you achieve your goals for your labor I will provide continuous physical, emotional and informational support to you and your partner no matter the decisions you make.
Physical Support:
- - Soothing touch with massage and counter pressure
- - Holding space
- - Giving ice chips and beverages
- - Assisting with different positions and getting partner involved
- - Helping to maintain a calm environment
- - Assisting with water therapy (showers, tubs/water birth)
EMOTIONAL Support:
- - Encouragement
- - Continuous presence
- - Having a caring attitude
- - Helping the birth person and partner through their concerns
- - Reassurance
Informational Support:
- - Evidence based information
- - Suggesting different movements/positions and techniques to try
- - Helping partner understand what is going on during the labor
Labor Doula Support Pricing
| 1 - 2 prenatal appointments around 37 - 38 weeks. |

| Unlimited text and email support starting at 38 weeks until birth. |
| Back up doula who you can meet. |
| Continuous emotional and physical support throughout the duration of your labor. |
| 1 - 2 hours after birth to make sure your family is comfortable, and breastfeeding is going well. |
| 1 postpartum visit and 4 weeks postpartum phone support. |
| Postpartum meeting to debrief your birth, answer any questions you may have and provide any resources needed. |
